Nashmi the Archer by Reza Abbasi

Kind of boring, but there is something I like about this piece. All it is is an archer, smokin' his pipe, doin' his thing in what appears to be some type of vague wilderness. I think it's just that he has a lot of character. He has a bow, he has a pipe, and for an archer he looks awfully laid back and lazy. A bit of contradiction? I don't know.

  1. During the reign of Shah Abbas the great, the cannon and gun became prevalent
So the archer, who was an influential soldier in the past, Were unemployed
They were old and retired And they took refuge in smoke.
What we see is the Humor and paradoxical expression of Reza Abbasi
